2. Converged cellular and satellite connectivity now available

As of Q2 this year we added converged cellular and satellite connectivity to the SuperNetwork, via our SatPlus solution. SatPlus converges both cellular and satellite via a single SIM for use cases where cellular alone may not always suffice. The addition of satellite NB-IoT connectivity to the SuperNetwork again pushes emnify to it's goal of offering the most extensive multi-network connectivity on the market. Today, we have customers using SatPlus for remote use cases varying from, pipeline leak detection to cattle and wild stock tracking.

To read more or enquire about leveraging satellite in your IoT projects, please visit our SatPlus webpage.

3. Completely configure data limits and thresholds in the emnify portal

We have updated the device policies tab within the emnify portal so that you can completely customize both data limits and thresholds for your device data consumption. This means you can be notified when your devices hit your maximum desired data limit or even when a certain % of that limit is reached.

After setting your desired data limit and threshold you will receive an event notification whenever either is reached. Take a look how limits and thresholds can be configured below:

4. Centralized reporting for multiple workspaces

Users managing multiple workspaces can now pull combined reports on any number of different workspaces within the emnify portal.

Combined reports include data from a number of selected workspaces and allows the user to review it from a centralised interface. This new functionality is perfect for obtaining an overview of device usage for a select number of entities.

Each user role has access to this functionality if they are assigned to 2+ workspaces.

Hereโ€™s how to use centralized reporting for multiple workspaces:

5. emnify's cloud core network adds 2 new regions

emnify aims for unparalleled IoT connectivity for your IoT devices both in terms of coverage, as well as, performance. A key enabler of this unparalleled performance is our cloud-based multi-regional deployment of our core network.

Combined with the access to 540+ networks worldwide, our regionally deployed core network allows us to provide the best available latency and security for your device connectivity. This occurs as your data stays closer to your devices and therefore crosses fewer, if any, borders.

emnify recently extended it's core network presence in two new regions, EU-Central-1 (Frankfurt) and eu-Central-2 (Zurich), and therefore extended our global presence from 5 to 7 regions.

๐Ÿ‘€ One to watch out for ๐Ÿ‘€

Here's a sneak peak of an exciting new feature that will be available to all portal users in the coming months.

Select your own device IP address range

emnify portal admin users will soon be able to configure custom IP address ranges for their devices, significantly extending the IP address space to support rapid scaling and greater flexibility, while also providing more options than the previous /24 and /28 configurations.

Here's how you will be able configure your own custom IP address range:

Once added, you will see the count of IP addresses allocated to your devices and the number of available IPs in the space, as shown below:

So keep an eye on our Canny product updates for the release of configurable IP address ranges.
